The weather was great and enjoyed the sites of the island.
We booked a superior room but the web site does not mention the road noise. Upgraded to a pool view room but was amazed that we had to pay the difference in cash. The bed was rock hard but got used to it after a week. The majority of the staff do not speak or understand english but most were friendly. The restaurant staff need to get more organised it took on average 40 minutes to be served with three sandwiches although we were the only people in the restaurant. The pool is very small and there were not enough sun beds or umbrellas and those that were there need to be replaced.
The Hotel was conveniently located near Lamai.
It was too close to the main road and not very sound proof.+ The restaurant was playing one cd during our whole stay. The Maya rooms are not advantageous as everyone in the lobby can see you + the area is quickly in the shade.
i loved the swimming pool area >>>... and the rooms so clean and good size... i will recommended to my friends...
polite staff, clean and comfortable, location
There was lost of peace and quiet (although I stayed at end of Sept which is a down season). Most of the facilities were good and there are a number of other restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is also a restaurant next door which did amaing health food - fresh, lots of flavour and cheap.
The beach wasn't the best - I'd not recommend swimming in it. A few reasons - it is somewhat polluted with rubbish, there is a nearby estuarty/swamp which drain pipes connect to so it's smelly and very polluted, and there are lots of fishing boats which also adds to the smell. To get around this, just don't go swimming at this beach - you can travel up to Chaweng which is a lovely beach to swim at. Alternatively you can use the hotel's pool which is quiet nice.
Very hard beds, service somewhat haphazard
The only thing that is good at this view. The rest is easy Ktsrofh! The food does not taste good, bad location, shower funny and you can shower as appropriate. Better to choose another hotel
When I went to the bar left the key in the reception room, when I went back to bed I was amazed to discover that one of the reception sleepI had to wait an hour i and called To police to wake the staff! Just a shame!i
The breakfast was awesome!!!!
The hotel is right on the beach but it isn't really that nice. The water is very shallow and rocky a long way out (you have to paddle out with the (free!!!) Booked.net to get the chance to swim, or walk down the beach towards lamai beach where the beach as well as the sea is much nicer)
Breakfast, pool, staff - this was our second stay there
nice hotel. good-sized rooms with balconies right next to the beach
The lap pool is only for the highest room category. The "public" pool is rather small and not suitable for swimming.
Quiet location, excellent pool with loungers/towels, friendly breakfast staff.
Beds are very hard, the rooms are looking a bit tired and need to be spruced up to justify the prices.
The hotel staff, really couldn't communicate well in English which I found unusual for Thailand asd was there for 5 weeks in total. The hotel was dirty, a tray with our morning coffee sat outside our room for 3 days. The maid didn't re-plenish coffee's, we had not hand or face towels and had to ask for them and the beds were rock hard which gave us bad backs. When I asked them to put a mattress topper on the mattress, they dropped a duvet cover in! Wouldn't go back...looks nice, but noty 4 Star. I stayed at a 0 star guest house that was better than this for £30 per night.
Fantastic hotel value for money. Clean rooms and bathroom. Helpful receptionist. Got upgraded to Sea View room for free. Relatively spacious and comfortable. Peaceful and relaxing environment.
Beach behind the hotel not suitable for swim. Beach that suitable for swimming and water sports is 1km distanced walk away. Lamai beach town is roughly 2km distance walked away. Breakfast is not appetizing, more rooms to improve.
Personal sehr freundlich. Zi.sauber und geräumig.
Unser Zi.hatte laut Angaben Bergblick.
